So... what is this?

Hello, my name is Ross Wolfe, also known as Cpt. Sqweky to those who know my online name better.
This blog is for anyone who was ever a member of the Science Fiction/Fantasy club Quark at Brigham Young University. We're coming up on 24 years of existence in one form or another, and I think it's a milestone that should be celebrated. To this end, I am organizing a sort of "Quark family reunion" to be held in or around Provo sometime late 2013. Anyone who was ever a member of Quark and their immediate family members are invited to attend. It is my hope to be able to bring together the various generations of Quark together so we can all know where the club came from and where it is now. Plus, it's a great excuse to get together, eat food, play games, have fun, and network.
At this time we are still in the early planning stages, and so I can't give out many details. Right now what's most important is to get the word out. If you are still in touch with other members of Quark and they don't know about this, let them know. If you have contact info for anyone you knew in Quark, get back in touch and let them know. Have the people you contact also contact people they're in touch with. Right now the biggest hindrance to successfully planning this is not knowing how many people to expect. All the most important updates will be posted here on the blog, though there is a Facebook page forthcoming.
Now, since planning is still in the early stages at the moment, there probably won't be much activity here for a while. This is inevitable. But hopefully as time goes on, I'll have real news and be able to update more frequently.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through the upcoming Facebook page, which I should have up in the next couple days.
